The day 07 March went very well after all the hard work of Dick Tome our FSO-VE. Anclote River Park was the location where the Park Rangers allowed us a private area just inside the main gate. As the boaters entered the park we were waiting. We offered our services for a Safety Inspection and over 40 boaters were pleased to see the Auxiliary on location.
At times the area we had was packed with boats but we had ample Vessel Examiners on hand to check each & every vessel. Representatives from all the Flotillas in Division 11 were present and all assisted each other in the spirit of “Boating Safety”.
The flotilla tent was setup and supplied the safety brochures and materials for all to pass out. It also provided a great place for the BBQ grill where hamburgers and hot dogs were prepared at lunch time. Nothing too fancy just a little hot food & cold drink for those doing all the work.
